The word
perspective is how you see yourself and your situations. What lens are you looking through in your life? When you look at
you what do you see? Are you looking at yourself the way the creator looks at you? By exploring and answering these questions it exercises perspective.
When professional athlete and fitness coach Angela Davis first started in the fitness industry 20 years ago, she often remembered the incredible skills and messages of her father who was a successful baseball coach. He always told her to make sure that the "man is just as great as the athlete. Sure, you're a Hall of Famer, but how are you as a husband, as a man, as a wife and as a woman?" Keeping your perspective on who you are within your accomplishments was just as important to him as the accomplishments themselves. For Angela, this was a lightbulb as she paved her way toward a fitness revolution.
When she was approached by Oprah to be a part of
Oprah's The Life You Want Weekend, Angela was ready for the challenge. Throughout her entire life her parents had always told her, "You are such an encourager." And as she grew, she always looked at herself as just that, an encourager. That was her life calling and understanding that perspective helped to carry her onto that stage and empower and encourage her audience through motivation and movement. And now in this series
21 Days of Motivation and Movement, Angela is channeling that same perspective. She is encouraging all of us.
