Iman, the Somali supermodel, stopped modelling at the height of her career. She says she wanted to be "taken seriously" off the runway, and with the recent launch of IMAN Cosmetics, she had the opportunity to focus on her new business venture. The final nail that led her to a different career path, however, was Paris Hilton.
"When I read they held a show an hour for Paris Hilton, I knew the game had changed," Iman tells Oprah: Where Are They Now? "So, it became where everybody wants to be seen. It’s become a different animal."
Here, Iman explains why stopping the show for "D-listers" like Paris Hilton was evidence the fashion world wasn’t for her anymore.
