The Oprah Show Guest Who Proved That Anything Is Possible

Minutes after Cody McCasland was born, his parents noticed that his legs looked different.

They wouldn't straighten out. The doctors thought he wouldn't make it through the day. Miraculously, Cody survived, but he still had a difficult journey ahead of him. When he was 15 months old, he had both of his legs amputated, and he was fitted with his first prosthesis at 18 months.

The doctors didn't think Cody would be able to walk on his prosthetics for a while, but yet again, he defied the odds. Within one or two days, he was on the move. In 2008, he stopped by the Oprah Show to share his gifts.

It's been almost eight years since that show. Today, Cody is 14 years old and training for a swimming competition. Watch to find out how the he's still beating the odds and inspiring others.
