Year of Yes, Shonda opens up about the profound impact her yearlong experiment of always saying yes had on her life.
Shonda sat down with Oprah to discuss her book, her career and her beliefs. Delving deeper, Oprah asked Shonda what she believed each of us could do to bring more light into the world.
"Interestingly enough, I think it's [to] vote," Shonda said. "It's making our House and our Senate look more like America does—the same way we should make television look more like America does."
