The Emmy-winning actress—back for season five of The Good Wife on the recipe she's always making for friends and the '70s rock song she can't stop singing.
Best Tradition
Growing up, the first morning of every month I would say, "Rabbit, rabbit" or "White rabbit" as soon as I woke up. It's a British superstition to ensure good luck for the month ahead; I learned it while living in England. Now my 5-year-old does it.

Best Childhood Memory
Before the Hamptons were "the Hamptons," my dad would rent us a little farmhouse there every August. I have lovely recollections of eating lunch under umbrellas on giant beach towels with my family, then falling asleep listening to the waves crash and the sound of people playing.

Best Recipe
Well, now the secret will be out, but salmon teriyaki: I marinate the fish in the fridge for an hour in Soy Vay teriyaki sauce, bring it to room temperature, then bake it at 350 degrees for exactly 18 minutes. People actually invite themselves over for this dinner.

Best Karaoke Song
"Paradise by the Dashboard Light," by Meat Loaf. It was my favorite when I was 11, and I still sing it at the top of my lungs. But without a few glasses of wine, I don't achieve quite the same effect!

Best Morning Ritual
Reading the paper with my son and husband, just like three old folks. I put coffee on, and we each take our section: I get arts and leisure, my husband takes the front page, and my son grabs sports. (I think he learned to read early because we wouldn't tell him the score of every game.)

Best Compliment
Right after a girlfriend texted me that she was having a hard time, I called her. She picked up the phone and said, "You are so reliable." I think the most important thing you can be to someone else is dependable. In this world, it's nice to have a person you can count on.
