The Peetes Find the "Perfect Place" to Spread the Ashes of Holly's Father

Season 1 Episode 110
Aired on 02/25/2017 | CC tv-pg
Ever since Holly Robinson Peete's father, Matt Robinson, died in 2002 after a 20-year battle with Parkinson's disease, Holly has kept his ashes in the same place: her closet. It's been difficult for Holly to let go of her dad, and for 14 years she and her brother have been holding out for the "perfect place" to spread their father's ashes. Finally, they've found it—in Penllyn, Pennsylvania.

Penllyn is where Holly's mother, Dolores, grew up. During the Peetes' visit to the Philadelphia suburb for a friends-and-family reunion, Dolores suggests laying her late husband to rest in Penllyn, in the state he loved. Holly and her brother agree, and the family gives Holly's father his final resting place, just moments before the rain pours down with "tears from the sky."
