Evelyn Opens Up to Iyanla About Falling for Her Fiancé Carl Crawford

It's been three years since Evelyn last saw spiritual life coach Iyanla Vanzant. When the women first met in 2012, Evelyn was in the midst of a personal crisis. She had just filed for divorce from her then-husband, a professional football player, after less than two months of marriage because of a domestic violence incident. Iyanla counseled Evelyn through this emotional decision and helped her start down the path to self-discovery.

Now, Iyanla arrives at Evelyn's home in Los Angeles to see how this reality TV star has evolved. Since they last saw each other, Evelyn has fallen for a professional baseball player Carl Crawford, gotten engaged and had a baby boy named Leo. Evelyn says that her fiancé, a very private man from Texas, is a good guy. "We respect each other, we don't curse each other out," she says. "I've never been in a relationship like that."

Until she came along, Evelyn says Carl never dated anyone in the limelight. "He's just been very to himself and very focused on what he does," she tells Iyanla. "I always say, 'Poor guy.' Before me, you would Google him, it was just his stats and stuff. And then now it's all this crap with me."
