Evelyn on Danika: "You Cross Me Once, I'm Done"

Evelyn and her long time brand manager, Danika, have a sudden falling out over some business deals gone awry. Shaniece is stunned to hear it, and wants to know if her mom is going to fire Danika or if they can repair their five-year relationship. Evelyn doubts that their issues can be resolved and decides to start looking for a new manager.

"I'm at a point in my life where I don't want to deal with any drama," Evelyn tells her. "I'd rather go my own way."

This leaves Shaniece wondering where her business relationship with Danika stands. She suspects that her mother's falling out with Danika is the reason she hasn't been able to get in touch with her lately. Sha believes their manager sees them more as a mother and daughter than as two separate clients and worries that Danika's dispute with Evelyn will adversely affect her career. Evelyn and Danika have outgrown each other and Ev feels compelled to move on, but she doesn't have a clear answer for where this leaves her daughter.
