Evelyn Faces a Second Miscarriage: "I Just Have to Be Strong"

While celebrating Thanksgiving with Carl's family in Houston, Evelyn realizes she's having another miscarriage. Devastated, she pulls Shaniece aside to tell her the troubling news, but decides to let Carl enjoy this time with his family and waits until after the festivities to tell him.

"What am I gonna do? I just have to be brave," Evelyn says, holding back tears. "I have to be strong and I have to just keep it together. I feel like I don't have any other choice. This is what I have to do."

Shaniece is heartbroken for her mother and does what she can to comfort her, but she knows Evelyn will need time to properly grieve for her loss. While Evelyn puts on a brave face for the family, and is relieved to be surrounded by loved ones, she's also anxious to get back to Los Angeles to meet with her ob-gyn and learn more about her condition.
