Rodney Opens Up About the Death of His Dear Friend Junior Seau

In 2012, NFL star Junior Seau died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound. It was later determined that the linebacker had been suffering from chronic traumatic encephalopathy (CTE), a form of brain damage linked to repetitive head injuries. Rodney Peete was devastated by his friend's suicide, which he opens up about during a talk with other football players to encourage them to join Rodney as a participant in a health research study.

"You would never know anything was going on with him internally, but it was. Deeply," Rodney says of Junior. "That affected me so much because I didn't recognize anything was happening."
