What to Expect From Season 2 of Queen Sugar

Fans of Ava DuVernay's OWN show, Queen Sugar, are eagerly awaiting season 2—which debuts June 20—and the return of Bordelon siblings Charley (Dawn-Lyen Gardner), Nova (Rutina Wesley) and Ralph Angel (Kofi Siriboe). The action got rolling last year when the death of patriarch Ernest drew his children back to the family's sugarcane farm—and into one another's thorny lives. Here's what we'll be looking for next:
Ralph Angel + Darla
Last season...Ralph Angel tried to leave his troubled past behind and help run the Bordelon farm, plus be a rock-steady dad to his son, Blue. Monkey wrench in works: Blue's mostly MIA mom, Darla, wanted back in the picture after getting sober. Several apologies (and one steamy shower scene) later, the family looked cozier than ever.
This season...We need to know: Is Darla in it for love or money?
Charley + Remy + Davis
Last season...Charley's glittery NBA-wife life in L.A. came crashing down after hubby Davis was accused of rape and she was called to Louisiana to whip her father's estate into shape. Good thing hunky family friend Remy was around to teach Charley the sugarcane business and comfort her in his ripped arms.
This season...Set aside the love triangle, Charley, and focus on the derelict sugarcane mill you just bought.
Nova + Charley + Ralph Angel
Last season...The siblings went from clashing, to laughing, to fighting, to banding together against rival landowners, to maybe fighting again after Ralph Angel found an alternative will bequeathing all Bordelon property to him.
This season...Anything goes. Just please let Aunt Vi (Ernest’s spitfire of a sister) and Hollywood (her adoring beau) get back together. How sweet it would be!
