Kendrick Catches Nyla and Terrance Kissing

Terrance stops by the Paynes' house to talk with Ella, but he is met by Nyla at the door. Nyla hasn't seen Terrance since he tried to confront Kendrick about hitting her, and she's ready to talk about it. "Look, Nyla," Terrance says apologetically. "I know you're a grown woman, and you have the right to live your life the way you want to."

"I know," Nyla says. "I just wanted to let you know that I was flattered."

"Flattered?"

"Yes, that you wanted to take me out," Nyla says, smiling.

Nyla explains that she doesn't want things to be awkward between her and Terrance, since they would be seeing each other around a lot more. Terrance agrees, and the two share an awkward exchange before Terrance leans in to kiss Nyla again.

Nyla is taken by surprise. "Uh, what are you doing?"

"Nyla, I've been wanting to do that since the day I met you," Terrance tells her.

Nyla explains that she's still in a relationship with Kendrick and tells Terrance not to kiss her again. He acknowledges her points but can't resist teasing her a little. "You think you can resist a little bit next time, though?"

"Excuse me?"

"I mean, you didn't resist me at all."

Nyla tries to protest, but Terrance continues. "And that whole kissing me back thing? That's a clear sign that there's something going on with you for me too."

Nyla reiterates that she is still with Kendrick and that she and Terrance can't have anything going on between them. Terrance resignedly concurs, and Nyla prepares to leave, but she and Terrance are met by Kendrick—who is not happy about what he just saw.

"No, no," Kendrick says, blocking Nyla. "No, we have to talk about this."
