Ella and Curtis Tell Terrance About the Stolen Money

When Terrance learns that he won't get paid for the renovations on time, he isn't pleased. Curtis and Ella finally explain the complicated truth about their financial situation: The money they thought they could use as payment was ill-gotten, stolen in a robbery, and it was confiscated by the FBI.

Terrance absorbs the information. "That doesn't help me," he says finally.

"I'm so sorry," Ella says. "I don't know how many times I can say it."

"Yeah, I know you're sorry," Terrance says flatly, "but expect a lien and a lawsuit."
