A Morning Classic, Minus the Standing-in-Front-of-the-Stove Part
Making French toast isn't complicated, but it does usually involve some attention, as you cook the egg-soaked bread slices in a frying pan until browned. Take the sheet pan route, though, and you'll have time to enjoy your coffee or still enjoy a wholesome and hot breakfast. Prepare the dish as you normally would, and then, instead of cooking the slices over the heat, lay them on a greased sheet pan and bake at 450° for about 10 minutes, flip and continue baking for about 8 more minutes. We like to lay sliced bananas on top of each piece and finish under the broiler for a minute or so; they add a sweet note.
