The "Wait—These Are Carrots?" Way to Make Carrots
These sweet, spiced carrot fries taste almost like a completely different vegetable compared to what you serve alongside hummus or sliced in a salad. Coating french fry-shaped carrot sticks in rice flour, which you can find in health-food stores, gives them a thin coating that crisps up in the oven. When they're halfway done cooking, you give them another coating, this time of the Indian spice mix garam masala. The carrots are crunchy on the outside, soft on the inside and truly difficult to stop eating.
