Serves 2


  • 1 frozen banana
  • 1 cup frozen, mixed berries
  • 1 scoop vanilla protein powder
  • 1 1/2 cups coconut beverage or nondairy milk
  • 1 tsp. chia seeds, plus more for garnish
  • A few fresh berries, for topping


    In a blender, add banana, berries, protein powder and coconut beverage. Puree until smooth. Add 1 tsp. chia seeds; pulse, then let sit for a minute or two, so the seeds plump up. Puree again, then pour into bowls and top with fruit and a sprinkling of chia seeds.
