Serves 8


  • 1 quart whole milk
  • 1 cup uncooked rice
  • 1 Tbsp. unsalted butter
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 4 eggs, beaten
  • 1/4 tsp. nutmeg or cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1/4 cup raisins


    Spray the insert of the slow cooker with nonstick spray. Add milk, rice, butter, sugar, eggs, nutmeg (or cinnamon) and salt to slow cooker and stir.

    Cover and cook on low 4 hours. Stir in raisins and continue cooking, with the lid on, for 15 more minutes. Add more milk before serving if you prefer a more liquid pudding.
