Serves 1

Ingredients
  • 1 lemon or lime, halved
  • 1 avocado, halved

    For the Everything Seed Mixture:
  • 3 Tbsp. white sesame seeds
  • 3 Tbsp. black sesame seeds
  • 2 Tbsp. caraway seeds
  • 1 Tbsp. poppy seeds
  • 2 Tbsp. granulated, or dehydrated, onion (optional)
  • 1 Tbsp. flaky sea salt

    Directions

Make the Everything Seed Mixture: Place the white sesame seeds, black sesame seeds, caraway seeds and poppy seeds in a small skillet. Toast them over medium heat until the sesame seeds are golden brown and the caraway is fragrant, about 3 minutes (don't walk away, here; sesame seeds burn superquickly, especially around the edges of the skillet). Remove from the heat and add the onion (if using) and salt. Let cool completely before storing in jars. You'll have about 1/2 cup; this can be made 1 month ahead and stored at room temperature.

Prepare the avocado: Squeeze half a lemon over each avocado half and sprinkle with as much Everything mix as you'd like.
