Almond Butter and Bacon Sandwich

So you lingered at last night's party long after your better judgment packed up and left? No worries. Try a carb-based breakfast, like this sandwich made with whole grain bread, almond butter (high in magnesium, which your body will crave), bacon, and apple slices.

Note: You can also serve this as a regular sandwich with just two pieces of bread. Try replacing the apple with banana if you're feeling queasy; bananas have a natural antacid effect.
Toast bread; spread 1 tablespoon almond butter on each of 2 slices. Lay apple over almond butter. Top each piece with 2 slices crisp bacon. Drizzle with olive oil and a sprinkle of sea salt if desired.
Assemble sandwich by stacking toast, with a plain slice in the middle, to form a classic double-layer club.
