Why Leeza Gibbons Agreed to Compete on Celebrity Apprentice

In February 2015, Emmy award-winning TV host Leeza Gibbons won Season 7 of Celebrity Apprentice, earning a total of $714,000 for Leeza's Care Connection, a program that offers resources for caregivers of Alzheimer's patients.

Leeza says that when she was first approached to compete on Donald Trump's popular reality series, she was a little hesitant to sign on. After realizing how it could benefit her foundation, however, she agreed. "It's a lot of money for your charity," she says.

Between boardroom blowups and almost-too-close-to-call challenges, this season was rife with drama. "Everything shocked me, and I think even for fans of reality, this season was a shocker," she says. "I think even Donald Trump was shocked. No, I know he was shocked."
