Online Exclusive: T.I.'s First Impression of Australian Rapper Iggy Azalea

Season 4 Episode 414
Aired on 11/23/2014 | CC tv-14
Since releasing his debut album in 2001, hip-hop artist T.I. has sold more than 30 million singles. When he's not collaborating with some of the industry's biggest names, T.I. manages and produces music for up-and-coming artists on his label, Grand Hustle Records.

In 2012, T.I. helped launch the career of an underground Australian recording artist named Iggy Azalea. At the time, Iggy was best known on YouTube, but today this female rapper is a chart-topping artist with hit singles like "Fancy" and "Work."

T.I. says he recognized Iggy's potential from the first time he heard her music. "I mean initially, like at hello, I saw just an undeniable, tenacious will to dominate," he says. "I knew upon meeting her that, you know, with the proper application of skill and an adequate amount of strategy that she would have an ability to go where no one has ever gone and do things that no person has ever done. And I feel that she's on her way to doing that."

In this online exclusive, watch as T.I. discusses Iggy's "epic" rise to fame.
