The Overwhelming Spiritual Experience Lenny Kravitz Had as a Child

Aired on 10/11/2015 | CC tv-14
When Grammy award-winning musician Lenny Kravitz was just a boy, his mother sent him to sing in the California Boys' Choir—mainly as a way of keeping him off the streets. The prestigious organization took music very seriously, pushing the boys day and night, which, Lenny says, landed him in the infirmary with the flu.

The future rockstar shared a room in the infirmary with another young boy, who struck up a conversation about religion, asking him, "Do you know about Jesus Christ?" The conversation that ensued would lead the two boys to share a spiritual experience that Lenny would never forget.
