In 2013, the tropical storm known as Haiyan ripped through the Philippine islands killing 6,500 people at speeds of over 195 miles per hour. It was one of the deadliest typhoons ever recorded. For those in its wake, an unlikely source of healing has emerged to help them rebound and rebuild.
