When it comes to award season, you can always expect chaos in the city of L.A. The interesting thing is they all seem to happen so close to one another. First the Golden Globes®, followed by the Screen Actors Guild® awards, next are the Grammys® and then we get into the Super Bowl of the entertainment industry...the Oscars®.

This year, my celebrity clients are looking to add some escapism for their fans who look to them as a reminder of what can be achieved through hard work and dedication. You are going to see all-out glamor on the red carpet with a romantic touch, featuring warm, glowing makeup and soft pink lips.

For eyes, look to see creamy shadows in natural hues with hints of shimmer (Metallic Creme Eye Color in Alloy,$22.00 at LauraMercier.com). A great way to open the eyes is to take a bright, sparkling eyeliner pencil and draw a soft dot right on the inside corner of your eyes. This is a old Hollywood secret for making the eyes appear not only bigger, but also more alert. (Bling Bling Highlighter Pencil, $20 at DamoneRoberts.com).

Compliment the look with a soft, creamy blush rubbed on the apples of the cheeks for the slightest flush of color (Cover Girl and Olay Simply Ageless Sculpting Blush in Lush Berry, $10.99 at CoverGirl.com)

Bronzer will be crucial to add that extra glow on this year's red carpet. Highlight sparingly by swiping a powder highlighter from the temples to the top of the cheekbones (Chanel Radiant Glow Highlighting Powder, $65 at Chanel.com is great because the variations of gold, champagne, peach and bronze flatter all skin tones).

We are seeing a return to pink sweeping the industry, as it is one of the most universal colors that tends to signal health and youth. Start with a soft application of color that you can build upon as you feel more comfortable (Tarte Natural Gel Lip Stain in Amused, $24 at TarteCosmetics.com).

This year, get ready as my clients and I continue to put their best faces forward with the hope that you realize everyone can look like a star with the right products and skill to help bring out the best version of you.
