Fashions by Missoni

Design Is a Family Affair
While they may be considered one of Italy's most prominent fashion families, for the Missonis, it's just the family business. In 1997, Angela Missoni inherited mother Rosita's role as top executive and creative director. Rosita, after realizing retirement was not for her, took over the Missoni Home Collection. Now, a third generation has joined in—Angela's 23-year-old daughter, Margherita, is Missoni's muse and the face of the 2006 Missoni fragrance campaign.

Vertical Leap
This floor length dress features vibrant vertical stripes and chic knotted straps.

Black and Blue
Intricate beadwork embellishes this flowing, blue and black gown.

The Margherita Look
Color-punched stripes and a short, tiered-ruffle hem give this knit dress a youthful silhouette. "This is what I call the 'Margherita look,'" says Angela.

Geometric Glamour
This glittering, geometric pattern dress is accented with hand embroidery, sequins and a black sash-tied waist.

Knockout Knits
An elegantly tailored, scalloped knit jacket makes this a versatile look for many occasions.

Playful Patterns
Missoni is known for their eye-popping patterns—this entrance-making floral dress is no exception.

Cover-Up
This lightweight, hooded cover-up is from Missoni's more casual and affordable M Line.

Modern Classic
Missoni gives a fresh face to a perennial classic with this twin set and khakis from the M Line.

Cape Mod
This layered look showcases the soft and billowy shapes that appear in Missoni's 2006 winter collection.

Texture Tease
In this style for winter, a crinkled organza skirt peeks from beneath a rich textured coat.

Snug as a Bug
Angela loves this pullover sweaterdress for winter. "It's soft and cocooning," she says.

High Definition
A fluid, off-the-shoulder tunic with kimono sleeves is paired with leggings for definition. "We're giving, really, strength to this kind of soft silhouette," says Angela.

Let Loose
A lavender skirt with ruffled detail compliments this loose, cape-like top.

Gold Ribbon
Banners of gold and green play off the subtle gray hues in this flouncy skirt.

Straight Up
This breezy blouse lends contrast against a straight, skinny skirt.

Top Tier
Layers of ribbon are hand sewn in tiers to create this dramatic,
strapless, floor-length gown.
