A: Kimberly, I have found that when in extremely dry or sunny climates it is best to go with a cream foundation. Powder foundations are generally a heavier consistency, which can emphasize wrinkles. Liquid foundations can still offer coverage, while settling into fine lines. I also believe when the skin is a bit more dewy, one achieves a more youthful appearance. You may want to consider a tinted moisturizer with a SPF for a protective barrier, along with the coverage of a foundation.
Q: Damone, I totally love your work. I would love some advice. Five years ago, I had to have brain surgery due to eye cancer. This left my right eye closed most of the time. My question is, how should I do my eyes? I seriously need your help! I know that if I feel pretty, I will have the confidence I need. I would appreciate any advice you might be able to give me.

A: Make sure that your brows are filled in so the focus is upward on the eye that was affected. Apply your eyeliner so that it is thinner on the inner corner of the eye and gradually thicken the line as it goes to the outer corner. This will give the appearance that the eye is lifted. To the other eye, apply a thin line from the inner corner to the outer corner. This will give the illusion that the eyes are more balanced. Lastly, I want you to remember that pretty always starts from within. Best of luck to you!
Q: Hi Damone, I am seeking advice about my husband's shaving routine. He is African-American and suffers from severe shaving bumps. Your skin looks great, so any advice would be greatly appreciated.

A: I would first suggest your husband shave after his morning shower. The steam softens the hair, allowing for an easier shave. It's also very important to take an extra minute to see which way the hair is growing. Shaving in the direction of the hair growth allows for less irritation. Another major task in the world of shaving is patience. Rushing a blade across one's face is a major source of irritation. You want to make sure you are shaving off the hair the first time, as by going back over the same area, the skin has a tendency to become agitated.
