LOS ANGELES — Meredith Momoda has been named vice president, integrated marketing for OWN: The Oprah Winfrey Network, effective immediately. Momoda is currently senior vice president of integrated marketing with Discovery Communications' TLC. Her extraordinary talent for creating customized integrated marketing ideas contributed to the innovative, multiplatform TLC partnership with Real Simple.

In her new role, Momoda will serve as OWN's executive in charge of product integrations. She will also act as the primary liaison between OWN's advertising sales, marketing and programming departments, as well as the various production companies, agencies or other entities on topics involving branded entertainment. She will report to the head of marketing.

"Meredith has crafted, negotiated and coordinated integrated marketing initiatives in her career that represent the industry's 'gold standard,'" said Robin Schwartz, president of OWN. "Her expertise and fresh ideas are a perfect match for OWN, and I look forward to her joining our team."

Prior to her work with Discovery Communications, Momoda served as executive director of advertising solutions for Yahoo! Network division, overseeing the creation of sponsorship packages behind original programming and such special events as the Olympics and the Academy Awards®. While at Yahoo!, Momoda served as the primary intermediary between sales and Yahoo! Network Division, interfacing with vertical business units including Y! Mail, entertainment, sports, news, finance, tech, games, kids, health/food and Telemundo. Before that, Momoda was vice president of integrated marketing and promotions for ABC Television, a division of The Walt Disney Company, overseeing promotional activity for Primetime and the Disney Kids Network. During her tenure there, Momoda created the Sears sponsorship with Extreme Makeover: Home Edition, garnering widespread industry acclaim and substantial advertising revenue. 

Momoda earned her masters of business administration from The Anderson School at UCLA and a bachelor of arts from Northwestern University. She will be based at OWN's headquarters in Burbank, California.
