Los Angeles, CA — OWN: Oprah Winfrey Network is set to air a special episode of its acclaimed documentary series Our America with Lisa Ling on Tuesday, March 29 (10-11 p.m. ET/PT).

Our America with Lisa Ling: A Closer Look will revisit some of the most memorable stories and people featured in the series' first six episodes. Ling will show us where they are now and how their lives have changed since the show. The special will uncover what became of the sex offenders who camped out in the woods of Florida, checks in on Christian from Pray the Gay Away? to see how he is adjusting to a life centered on his faith rather than his sexuality and unveil how Tan from Transgender Lives is one step closer to becoming a man. Ling also revisits the former heroin addicts from Ohio to reveal if they are still struggling on the streets of New York City and finds out whether David from Online Brides, who traveled oversees to find a mate, has found true love.

Recently renewed for a second season, Our America with Lisa Ling takes viewers along for an in-depth look at some of the most controversial and thought-provoking issues in the United States today. From religious movements to sex offenders to drug addiction and online brides, Ling immerses herself into the lives of the people she meets, offering compelling accounts of varied experiences and providing insight. In sharing these stories, Ling challenges viewers to understand different perspectives and even question what they themselves have always known to be true in Our America.

Our America with Lisa Ling
is produced by part2pictures. Executive producers are Lisa Ling, David Shadrack Smith and Greg Henry. Amy Bucher is series producer.
