The Surprising Way Chef Carla Hall Found Her Passion

Celebrity chef Carla Hall first made a name for herself as a finalist on the reality cooking show Top Chef. Since then, the energetic dynamo has added even more to her plate. Not only is she a host on ABC's The Chew, but she also recently opened a contemporary Southern food restaurant in Brooklyn.

However, Carla says her life path wasn't always so clear.

"A lot of people don't know that I was an accountant, I was a CPA," Carla says. "I hated it! And I think at some point I looked up and I said, 'I don’t want to be 40 and hate my job.'"

This spurred Carla to make a dramatic life decision: She quit her job, started modeling and eventually moved to Paris. Watch the above video to find out how this move led her to her true calling.
