How One of the Bravest Little Boys Oprah Ever Met Survived the Unthinkable

In 2006, Oprah sat down with one of the bravest little boys she has ever met. Anthony Sukto was just 8 years old when his own father committed an unthinkable act: brutally attacking Anthony and killing the boy's mother.

Anthony says angels lifted him up to the phone, allowing him to call 911. Unfortunately, he suddenly had to hang up the phone when his father walked back into the room. But then a miracle happened: At the same exact time that Anthony's father returned, the police arrived and captured him. The brave little boy was nearly dead.

"I threw up a prayer right there," said Sergeant Eakes, who was on the scene and recounted the incident to Oprah in 2006. "I didn't know if he was going to make it."
