Leah Remini Opens Up About The Talk and Her Celebrity Feud

Season 5 Episode 508
Aired on 05/16/2015 | CC
For nearly a decade, actress Leah Remini starred opposite comedian Kevin James on the sitcom The King of Queens. From the moment they met, Leah says, she and Kevin had instant chemistry. "Kevin smiles with his eyes, and there's something so sweet and warm about somebody who, like, their soul comes out," she says. "I fell in love with him, and he was my husband for 10 years."

After the sitcom wrapped, Leah was cast as one of the original hosts of The Talk, alongside Sharon Osbourne, Julie Chen, Sara Gilbert, Marissa Jaret Winokur and Holly Robinson Peete. Leah says she wanted to do something different, but she underestimated how difficult this new role would be.

"You have to know what you're going to say, and especially dealing with celebrities, pain in the asses that we are, there are certain things, you know, publicists tell you: 'Don't talk about this. Don't talk about that.' And it's really quite annoying," she says.

After Season 1 of The Talk, Leah and Holly were not asked to return. Leah took to Twitter to criticize Sharon Osbourne for her role in their dismissal, which ignited a public feud between the two women.

In the above video, Leah addresses the controversy and reveals why she doesn't want to come across as a victim.

The reality series Leah Remini: It's All Relative returns to TLC in July
