For 21 years, Emmy winner Maurice Benard has sizzled and smoldered as Sonny Corinthos on General Hospital. When Maurice joined the cast, however, he thought his days were numbered.

"When I first started, it was pretty much a six-month role," he says. "And I said, 'As soon as it gets boring, I'll quit.'" More than two decades later, Maurice is still breaking hearts and busting heads as a mafia crime boss.
