Why Life Can Be "Overwhelming" for This Transgender Teen

CC | tv-14
At just 14 years old, Jazz Jennings has been a trailblazer for LGBTQ rights. She has been one of the youngest people in the spotlight for being transgender—which was documented in the documentary I Am Jazz: A Family in Transition—and Time magazine named her one of "The 25 Most Influential Teens of 2014." But does she ever just want to be a regular teen?

"It can be very overwhelming sometimes when so many people look up to me as an inspiration and a role model," Jazz tells Oprah during an upcoming episode of Oprah: Where Are They Now?. "And I feel like I have to live up to those expectations."

Watch the above video to hear what she really thinks about fame, plus what she cares about the most.

I Am Jazz airs Wednesdays at 10/9c on TLC.
