The Producer That Made Tim McGraw Doubt Himself

Over the years, country singer Tim McGraw has topped the music charts time and time again with heartfelt singles. However, success didn't come swiftly for him in the beginning. When a producer questioned his singing ability—even going so far as suggest a new line of work—Tim considered throwing in the towel.

He was down to his last $150, yet Tim didn't give up on his dream. Instead, he worked hard to put on a live show where industry professionals could watch him perform. Record producer Byron Gallimore attended that fateful show, liked what he saw and told Tim that he wanted to work with him.

"Anything that you do is peppered with doubt," Tim says. "You have to not let the doubt win."
