The Real Reason Shaq Said Yes to Oprah's Master Class: His Mother

Basketball legend Shaquille O'Neal has the utmost respect for Oprah, admiring her business acumen as well as her important work in the community. That's certainly part of why he agreed to appear on Oprah's Master Class, but another big reason came down to a different woman: his mother.

"Oprah Winfrey is my mother's favorite lady. ... When my mother watches this, she's going to have the biggest smile ever. That's what it's all about," Shaq says. "Any son that doesn't try to make his mother smile, you need to check yourself before you wreck yourself."
