On the road in Tasmania

What an entrance! Six friends on a cross-country road trip were driven right up onto The Oprah Show's stage in the middle of the 25th season premiere. Four months later, Cathy, Eveyln, Linda, Debbie, Mary and Peggy hit the road again—this time on the Australian island of Tasmania.

Located 150 miles off Australia's coast, Tasmania has miles of rugged coastline, spotless beaches, charming farms, and some of the cleanest air and water in the world.

On the season premiere, Gayle ambushed these Boston women at a local diner. Now, she's surprising them in a more exotic location—Meadowbank Estate Vineyard in Cambridge, Tasmania. "I'm in the neighborhood again!" Gayle says. "I'm having deja vu."

Together, they check out the sights and meet the island's most famous resident—a Tasmanian devil—at the Bonorong Wildlife Park. "[Tasmanian devils] can smell food from 10 kilometers away," says Greg, a wildlife expert. "The jaw strength is [equal to] about four American people."

Tasmania is the only place in the world where these unique animals are found in the wild.

Gayle, Cathy, Eveyln, Linda, Debbie, Mary and Peggy take time for some pampering on the Freycinet Peninsula at Saffire, one of the island's most exclusive resorts. Saffire Freycinet overlooks Great Oyster Bay, home to migrating whales and dolphins.

The group finishes their trip with an off-road adventure through Freycinet National Park and afternoon tea on the beach.

"[This is] more than I ever could dream of, and we were treated so special," Evelyn says. "And I did it with my five best friends."
