Brain Freeze
This excruciating headache strikes when cold hits the roof of your mouth and triggers blood vessels to rapidly constrict and expand. The nerves in your mouth interpret the swelling as pain and send pain messages to the brain.

The Fix: The second you feel a brain freeze coming on, put your tongue to the roof of your mouth. The heat from your tongue will calm the nerves and reduce pain faster.
