Salted-Caramel Rice Krispies Treats Recipe
Note: Because marshmallows are hard to work with as they cool, measure out all your ingredients before starting.
Prepare a large pan by spraying with nonstick spray and/or lining it with parchment paper.
In a large microwave-proof bowl, microwave the butter and marshmallows for 1 minute. Stir and microwave for another 30 seconds. Everything should be completely melted.
Mix in the Rice Krispies. Fold in the chopped candy bars.
Spread the Rice-Krispies mixture into the prepared pan and use a spatula sprayed with nonstick spray to create an even layer.
In the microwave, cook the chocolate in 30-second intervals until it is completely melted. Drizzle over the treats.
Drizzle the caramel sauce on top of the Rice Krispies Treats and finish with the sea salt. Let the bars set for 15 to 20 minutes before cutting and serving.
