From Oprah's Kitchen: Her 8 Favorite Recipes to Make
Oprah shares her own culinary creations for every meal of the day, plus two amazingly refreshing drinks.
Oprah's Love Sandwich
Oprah doesn't prepare her signature sandwich of pepper Jack, smoked turkey, avocado and tomato on seven-grain bread for just anyone. She first started making it just for Stedman and says, "I've only made it for a couple of other people, so if you've had me make the Love Sandwich for you, you have to be somebody I really care about." The key to getting gooey cheese: Oprah's Breville Ikon Panini Press, one of her Favorite Things in 2007.

Oprah's O' Mai Mai Juice Recipe
One day in Maui, Oprah tried to make her own version of a drink she had at a juice bar in New York City. She added pineapple because she had one handy, and mint because it was in the garden. After her first sip, she said, "O' mai mai"—and a new favorite was born.

Oprah's Lemon Zest Pasta Recipe
Oprah came up with this recipe when she had nothing in the house but a box of spaghetti and some lemons. The addition of fresh herbs like basil, lemon thyme and oregano make it burst with flavor. "Pasta can't get any simpler than this, my friends," Oprah says. "I delight in how clean it tastes." A smidgen of her secret weapon—truffle salt—gives the dish just a touch of richness.

Oprah's Corn Fritters
In 2005, viewers and O at Home readers saw Oprah like they'd never seen her before—preparing a batch of sizzling hot corn fritters. "One morning, Stedman asked me for those corn fritters, so I just did it my own way," she says. "It may surprise people, but I cook all my meals on the weekends."

Oprah's Scrambled Eggs with Fresh Herbs and Cheese
To make these softly scrambled eggs, Oprah uses pepper Jack or Parmesan, and either thyme, oregano or chives—whatever's freshest in her herb garden. "Homemade food," she says, "is like love on a platter."

Risotto with Peas and Asparagus
Fresh peas and asparagus tips make this risotto from Oprah's friend Cristina Ferrare a perfect spring meal. Adding fresh lump crabmeat (as Oprah does in this video) or grilled seafood at the end is a lovely way to complement the vegetables.

Oprah's Moscow Mule
On Oprah and Gayle's trip to Yosemite National Park in 2010, Oprah mixed up a batch of these refreshing concoctions with vodka, ginger beer, sugar syrup, lime juice and mint. She even brought some to her neighbors at the next campsite.

Blueberry Pancakes
Stedman promises that Oprah's homemade blueberry pancakes are "to die for"; she also makes her own blueberry syrup to go on top. The trick with this recipe—which comes from Cristina Ferrare—is to drop the blueberries onto the pancakes once you've poured the batter onto the skillet (if you stir them in with the rest of the ingredients, you'll wind up with purple pancakes).
