New York City restaurant maven Sarabeth Levine, author of Sarabeth's Good Morning Cookbook, has a secret for delectably sweet and crispy breakfast ham: orange juice.
Ingredients
1 (1-pound) cooked ham slice
⅔ cup fresh orange juice
2 Tbsp. maple syrup
Pinch of black pepper
Directions
Rinse ham. Let it marinate in the fridge overnight (or at least for 1 hour) in orange juice, maple syrup, and black pepper.
In the morning, broil 6-8 minutes on an oiled baking sheet, turning once; then slice and serve hot.
