Serves 1


  • 1/2 green apple
  • 1/2 frozen banana
  • 1/4 medium beet (steamed and cooled if you do not have a high-power blender)
  • 1/2 cup frozen blueberries
  • 1/4 cup kale
  • 1 Tbsp. flaxseed
  • 1 cup water, or coconut water


    Place the first 6 ingredients into a blender. Add the water, or coconut water, and turn the blender on, starting with the lowest speed. Slowly increase the speed and maintain the blender on the highest speed until all of the ingredients are smooth, generally 20 to 60 seconds, depending on your blender model.
