Are you able, willing and committed to taking risks on your own behalf? Dr. Robin says in order to keep your marriage, your job and your friendships constantly growing and improving, it's important that you get out of your boat of comfort, convenience and safety, and take the risk of walking on the water.
Perhaps you're in a job where you're making money but not challenged. Maybe you're in a relationship that is stable, but not moving forward. The problem is that in both these cases, you're not gaining anything. "A lot of times we don't even know that we're stagnant," Dr. Robin says. "It actually is a slow death because we're not growing, we're not changing, we're not transforming ourselves, our relationships, our opportunities or our jobs."
Dr. Robin says in order to live your best life, you must get out of the boat and decide to take some new chances. If you're not satisfied with the life you're living right now, take proactive steps and don't be afraid of taking the risks that could help you create the life that you really want.
"My challenge to you today is to get out of that boat so that you can walk on the water of your own destiny and tread into a whole different way of living and breathing and being in your life," Dr. Robin says.
