What to Expect from Nova in Season 2

At the conclusion of the first season of Queen Sugar, Nova Bordelon (Rutina Wesley) was working through a traumatic experience of having an off-duty police officer—a work acquaintance of her boyfriend, Calvin—spit in her face for writing a story criticizing the local police department. In Season 2, Rutina says in this exclusive clip, Nova plays the family peacekeeper and encourages her brother, Ralph Angel, as he pushes himself to new levels. Plus, Rutina hints that Nova might be stepping up her activism in the coming episodes.
