Dove scouts searched across America for real women for their buzzworthy billboards and found six women—each with a different career and signature curves. These fearless women may not be size 2 supermodels, but their courage is helping redefine society's opinion of "real beauty."
"We've gotten amazing feedback," Stacy says. "Women who are saying they use our picture for inspiration who are battling anorexia, and we know we're actually making a difference... that's what this is all about."
"I think I speak for most of the girls that we were always confident, but I think after doing the [Dove campaign], we're able to own our beauty," Sigred says. "I hope that the campaign has inspired other women to do the same."
According to a Dove survey of 3,000 women, this type of campaign is just what women needed. Results show that only 2 percent of the women surveyed consider themselves beautiful, and only 13 percent are happy with their weight and body shape.
