Known for her raunchy humor, Roseanne returned to The Oprah Show stage in October 1989 to talk about her hit sitcom, Roseanne, and autobiography, Roseanne: My Life As a Woman.

"I always was a writer, but then I wanted to do stand-up because I thought that was a way that I could perform what I wrote," Roseanne said. "But this was another way to say it."

The author and comedienne also opened up about filming She-Devil with Oscar® winner Meryl Streep.
