Helen Fisher is a research professor and member of the Center for Human Evolutionary Studies in the Department of Anthropology at Rutgers University. Her books include Why Him? Why Her? How to Find and Keep Lasting Love, Why We Love: The Nature and Chemistry of Romantic Love and Anatomy of Love: The Natural History of Mating, Marriage and Why We Stray. Since l983, Dr. Fisher has served as an anthropological commentator and/or consultant for businesses and the media. Her contracts include those with NBC's Today, American Museum of Natural History, Match.com and American Express. She is currently chief scientific adviser to Chemistry.com, a division of Match.com, and columnist for O, The Oprah Magazine. She has appeared on many other TV programs in the United States and abroad, including Nightline (ABC), The News Hour with Jim Lehrer, MSNBC's Today in America, The Early Show (CBS) and The Oprah Winfrey Show.
