Iyanla Vanzant took The Oprah Winfrey Show by storm in 1998. Over more than 20 appearances, the humorous, tell-it-like-it-is life coach struck a chord with women everywhere.
Today, Iyanla dishes out her relationship advice on OWN's Iyanla: Fix My Life. After decades of friendship, how does Iyanla view Oprah, her dear friend and the person who helped launch her career?
"To me," Iyanla says, "Oprah Winfrey is a human personification of love."
"She keeps no records of wrongs," Iyanla says. "I know this woman has not been treated well. She has not been treated well. She kept no record of it, and she continues to be generous with her life, with her time, with her resources, as her life unfolds."
Additionally, Iyanla says, most people fail to notice one of Oprah's deepest characteristics. "People don't see it or not, but I feel it in my spirit, a level of meekness about Oprah Winfrey," Iyanla says.
"You don't see it because you see a big, strong television personality, but there's a level of humility and meekness in her."
