The woman known for her exquisite wedding gowns and couture collections has teamed up with Kohl's department store to launch Simply Vera Vera Wang—a fashion line for ladies who want to look stylish without spending a fortune. The line will include clothing, shoes, accessories and linens.
"You're going to love these," Oprah says. "These are fashions you can wear."
Vera says she and her team have worked hard to make her signature style more accessible. "It meant a great deal to me to bring real design integrity to the project and to make sure the fabrics were beautiful," she says.

To give this look a touch of color, Vera paired the black jacket and jacquard bubble skirt with a purple blouse. The regular price for this shirred-neck cropped jacket is $78, blouse $58, and the bubble skirt is $98. All are available at Kohl's stores and Kohls.com.
The subtle mix of royal blue and purple fabrics will help you stand out in a room full of little black dresses. "It's great for cocktail [parties]," Vera says. "But if you put a little jacket over it or cardigan over it, it can get you into that category I call 'dressy day.'"
This beaded pintuck dress costs $138.
This model may be wearing it with a gray pleated skirt ($64) and striped, sleaveless shell ($58), but Oprah wore her $128 coat over an evening dress.
"You can really wear [this] over anything," Vera says. "In some people's minds, [it could be] a parka."
To achieve the look, pair this white blouse with a black peg skirt. Then, top it off with a gathered sweater instead of a suit jacket. "Pushing [the sweater] up over your sleeves adds a little more interest," Vera says. "It's [also] really forgiving on those days we need to be forgiven."
The babydoll cardigan costs $58 and the ponte colorblock skirt is $64.
To complete the look, add a vibrant scarf and gloves. "The hint of color is what I always love, even if you have neutrals," Vera says.
This double-breasted car coat is $128 and the chunky mini-ribbed scarf is $35.
The black "big boy jacket" is designed to look like your husband or boyfriend's jacket, Vera says. Top it all off with a gray wool hat and you'll be ready for fall! The boyfriend jacket is $98 and the fur pom hat is $28.
Then, wrap up in a marled cable-knit sweater coat, available for $78. "[The sweater] is cozy, it's warm, it can be worn very, very casually or dressed up," Vera says. "And let's face it, it's also very forgiving. You can wear it those times of the month or day or whatever, and it just works. It's like a blanket."
"This is a dress I love because it's easy, it's comfortable, and you can throw it on," Vera says. "The idea [is] that you take these pieces and incorporate them into your wardrobe and enjoy them."
This short-sleeve dress with contrast sleeves is $88. The "biscotti" heeled mary janes are $69.99.
This coat—which costs $138—is the same design as the double-breasted car coat, only shorter.
Marian, 45, and her daughter Alisia, 23, wear the same skirt at different lengths. "These mother-daughters look so great, it's hard to tell them apart!" Vera says.
The younger crowd may pair this skirt with a tall boot, while more mature shoppers may choose to wear a classic black pump.
The tie-waist brocade skirt is $68 and the "brie" tall shaft boot is $129.99. The pleated tuck front blouse is $54 and the cardigan with contrast ruffle is $64.
Rachel tucks her jeans into boots and belts her black coat ($128) to give the outfit a fun, funky vibe. Marsha completes her classic look with black heels and a tucked-in blouse.
"It's how you style it and what you put with it," Vera says. "Whatever boot or shoe or handbag—that's what makes the look change."
The five-pocket denim is $50, jewel-embellished shell is $54, and the "truffle" satin jeweled d'orsay heel shoes are $69.99.
When paired with an ash coat ($128),, Beth's T-shirt dress, which costs $128, looks comfy and casual. Add a skinny belt and a hip bag, and you have a whole new look!
"These are just easy pieces. They're not meant to be threatening," Vera says. "They're meant to be fun and for active women."
Kelli's large soft satchel is $79.
Vera says the Simply Vera Vera Wang sleepwear is feminine but not too flirty. "It's something I could wear, my daughters can wear, and we'd all enjoy it," she says.
Some pieces are trimmed with delicate tulle, a signature detail.
The satin chemise costs $34, while the pink mesh-trim pants and top cost $30 each.
"It's a very, very elegant, modern, refined bedroom, but also it's not scary for a man to sleep in," Vera says. "I think it's that combination of yin and yang and the beautiful textures...that's what makes this bed work." A queen comfort set retails for $359.99.
