Lip Luxury
If you're going to pay a lot for a lipstick, it had better come fully loaded. Rouge d'Armani ($30 each; GiorgioArmaniBeauty.com ) fits the bill, delivering eight hours of color, shine, and rich emollients. The black lacquer case has a magnetic closure so solid, the cap will never come off in your bag. Choose from 18 luscious shades.

Reflected Glory
As if the bold, distinctive cover designs—by such esteemed artists as Frank Lloyd Wright and Alexander Girard—weren't appealing enough, these sleek little compacts (Acme, $39; UnicaHome.com ) contain two mirrors, one of which slightly magnifies. Which means that after dinner, when you pull out your pretty compact along with your lipstick, you'll never have to squint while touching up.

SKIN TIGHT
If you're looking for a little luxury and you swoon over quilted leather and interlocking C s, you might also love Chanel's latest skincare line. The four products in the Ultra Correction Lift collection contain a resin from the Manila elemi tree, often used to heal skin in traditional Chinese medicine. Don't expect gravity-defying results, but the Lifting Firming Day Cream SPF 15 ($150) and the Lifting Firming Night Cream ($165; Chanel.com ) will leave your skin feeling temporarily plumper and firmer. — Jenny Bailly
