First lady Michelle Obama tells Oprah that after eight trailblazing years in the White House, she is looking forward to taking personal time away from the spotlight and indulging in everyday activities, like shopping at Target. Oprah has a much better proposition for the first lady.
"We should go glamping," Oprah says.
"Oh, God, I saw you and Gayle go glamping," Michelle says, referring to
Oprah and Gayle's trip to Yosemite, where they went glamorous camping, or glamping, as it's come to be called.
After extracting a promise that Oprah will do the cooking, the first lady accepts. "Okay, I'm down for glamping," she says. "Hey, look, I'm open. You will be the one that doesn't have any time. But, yes, that sounds great. That sounds great."
Here, in a lighthearted moment from the interview, the two women make plans for a glamping adventure in one of America's beautiful national parks.
